Available Positions

Barista

At Origin, we are passionate about coffee and our guests. We are searching for upbeat team-players who share that same passion and have experience working in customer service and making the best cup of coffee in town. The main objectives of our baristas are to be the front-line of customer experience and create memorable moments and expertly crafted coffee. You'll regularly collaborate with the team to complete orders and make people's day! You'll be responsible for ringing up sales, bagging items, heating pastries, honoring coupons, collecting payment, preparing drinks, serving our guests well, and making incredible memories for them. May be responsible for checking materials and supplies and reporting when stock is low, too.

Expect a fast-paced environment, high standards of execution on all aspects of customer service, and a fun-loving work environment.

Kitchen Crew

We are searching for prep cooks and line cooks who can produce a small menu of food at a high level of execution. The main objectives of our cooks are to prep ingredients, make menu items that look as great as they taste, operate commercial kitchen equipment, adhere to cleaning schedules, and properly rotate food according to health and food safety regulations. Expect a fast-paced environment and a collaborative team of really fun people.

Roaster

As a Coffee Roaster at Origin Coffee Bar, you'll play an essential role in the coffee roasting process, ensuring that we continue to offer high-quality, fresh coffee to our customers. You’ll work closely with our Head Roaster and other team members to hone your skills, learn the ins and outs of the roasting process, and contribute to the evolution of our coffee offerings. This position is ideal for someone who’s passionate about coffee, eager to learn, and interested in growing with a dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Roast high-quality coffee beans according to company standards and recipes.
  • Monitor and adjust the roasting process to maintain consistent quality, flavor profiles, and roasts.
  • Help with green coffee bean inventory, storage, and management.
  • Conduct post-roast evaluations, including cupping and flavor analysis.
  • Assist in packaging and labeling roasted coffee beans for retail and wholesale.
  • Collaborate with management and team to improve roasting techniques, blends, and offerings.
  • Ensure roasting equipment is cleaned and maintained according to safety and operational protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your roasting expertise.
  • Provide support in the coffee bar as needed, assisting customers with orders and promoting our freshly roasted coffee.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about roasting techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee roasting and the coffee supply chain is a plus but not required.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to adapt and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexible availability, with a commitment to working part-time hours.
  • Prior experience in a coffee-related role is an asset but not essential.
